What a weekend! The opening leg of the HSBC SVNS Series 2025/26 didn’t disappoint, and this year, New Zealand stole the show. Both the All Blacks Sevens and Black Ferns Sevens rose to the occasion, claiming the trophies and delivering a perfect all-black sweep on the podium.

Men’s Final: Thrills on Pitch 1
Pitch 1 was electric as the men’s final swung back and forth, keeping everyone on the edge of their seats. With the crowd roaring, Jayden Kellan crossed for the decisive try, sealing a dramatic 26–22 win and the men’s title for New Zealand.

Women’s Final: Fired-up and unstoppable
The women’s final saw a repeat showdown with Australia, but the Black Ferns had revenge on their minds. They came out blazing, scoring three tries in the first seven minutes - two from the electric Jorja Miller - to take control early and never look back. A 29–14 win ended Australia’s Dubai streak and made a statement to kick off the season.
